Product Introduction

The Swivel Flange is a special weld neck flange that has an outer ring that allows the inner ring to be rotated 360° to quickly align the bolt holes with the standard flange. This feature makes it ideal for offshore/subsea pipeline operations, allowing divers to align bolt holes more quickly and easily.

 Swivel flanges can be designed to any nominal size and pressure-rated flange size and gasket (Class 150- 2500, 1/2- 60" OD) in accordance with ASME B16.5, API 6A and MSS SP44. There are also manufacturers who provide non-standard swivel flanges to suit some special applications, such as fusion welding of the inner rings or PTFE coating treatment on flange surfaces, according to customers' requirements.

Swivel flanges can be made from materials suitable for any pipe network, common materials include:

Stainless Steel:ASTM A182 f304 / 304l / 316/316L/321/347, Duplex F51/F53/F44/F55/F60/F61;

Carbon steel:ASTM A105;API 6a ,AISI 4130

Alloy Steel:ASTM A694 F52, F60, F65, F70, ASTM A707, also available according to customer's specification.

Swivel ring flanges are typically used in subsea applications and consist of a swivel outer ring and a hub to allow easy alignment of the bolts. We offer a range of swivel flanges in accordance with ASME B16.5, B16.47, and API 17D in A694 F52/F60/F65/F70 to F65, ASTM A105, A350 LF2, A182 F51 and F53, AISI 4130, etc.

Swivel ring flanges can be designed to any size and pressure rating to meet the applicable size and gasket type of any recognized flange specification, such as ASME B16.5, API 6A or MSS SP-44. Non-standard swivel ring flanges can also be custom designed for certain applications; for example, applications involving large pipelines may include features such as hub face profiles to aid in axial alignment, and SRF rings and hubs Teflon rings between them to reduce rotational friction.

A swivel flange is a manifold flange consisting of a forged outer ring, a heavy-duty forged and welded hub, and a gasket, with the hub rotating when the flange is installed. Therefore, the swivel flange is also known as a swivel ring flange. The flange assembly allows for easy alignment of the bolt holes when attached to a WN flange or other flange.

The outer ring flange assembly is held in position by a retaining ring that rotates freely around the inner weld neck hub to quickly locate the bolt holes of the two connecting flanges. These versatile flanges are used in many applications and are widely used in offshore pipelines where they solve the problems associated with bolt-hole alignment during subsea flange installation.

Swivel flanges allow for 360° rotation of the outer ring around the hub, allowing for easy bolt-hole alignment when connecting to a matching standard flange. For subsea applications, this capability is important when only one diver can align and connect the flange.

The outer ring flange of the swivel ring flange assembly is held in position by a retaining ring that rotates freely around the internal weld neck hub to allow quick positioning of the bolt holes of the two connecting flanges.
