Drilling spool

A drilling spool is a pressure-containing piece of equipment used in drilling operations, typically placed between the blowout preventer and casing head. Its primary functions include:

Allowing the smooth circulation of drilling mud during operations. Serving as a spacer or crossover in the drilling assembly.
Ensuring safe circulation of mud, especially in high-pressure oil wells. Facilitating connections with valves and pipelines for relieving operations.

Drilling spools are essential for maintaining pressure control and ensuring the safety of drilling operations.

Drilling spools are designed and manufactured in accordance with API Spec 16A & 6A, conforming to NACE MR 0175.

Drilling Spools are Pressure-Containing equipment with end connections and outlets, stack in between drill through equipment.

Drilling spools are designed to connect the BOP and wellhead, both side outlets of spool can be connected with valves or manifold to prevent blowout.
