Brief Introduction

Baoji City Engineering Hydraulic Parts Factory is a professional manufacturer in

the field of hydraulic products and hydro-mechanical products. It owns more than 200

employees, over 110 sets main devices and many kinds of special equipment for

1. General

FY-60AP Blowout Preventer (BOP) Handling System is designed to meet

requirement of installing and removing BOP stacks. The system is full-hydraulic

control and can be used for heavy and medium duty drilling equipment. The main

function of system is to lift and install single BOP or BOP stacks. The system features

with explosion-proof, easier operation, better reliability, and safety. It consists of left

and right BOP moving device (each hung on one guide rail below drill floor), hydraulic

control box, pipelines, and hose hangers. Controlled by hydraulic operating box, the

system can achieve the movement of rising, lowering, moving forward and backward

synchronously, or moving forward and backward asynchronouslyAnd the actions of

lifting, lowering, respectively, moving forward. It is convenient for installing and

removing BOP stacks. This device can be operated at the low-temperate

environment.

2. Type and Specifications

2.1 This BOP Handling System mainly consists of left / right handling devices and

hydraulic system.

2.2 This BOP Handling System is powered by hydraulic power station for floor

mechanical tools (i.e. power tongs) of drilling rig.

2.3 This BOP Handling System is easier to assemble and disassemble. All hydraulic

hoses adopt snap joints (completed with dust-proof plugs or caps) as connections. It

not only makes it easier to assemble and disassemble system but also keep inner

hoses clean.

3. Structure and Features

3.1 This BOP Handling System is combined by two single lifting devices which each

hung on guide rail below the drill floor. One device can lift maximum 300 kN load and

600kN for two.

3.2 The system adopts 3 times stroke scale-up structure which features with shorter

cylinder stroke, bigger lifting height. Compared with other same lifting height BOP

handling system, it has lighter weight and compact volume.

3.3 This BOP Lifting & Moving Device is built into wholly hydraulic ctrl. Each lifting

device consists of moving mechanism, lifting mechanism and hydraulic system etc.

3.4 The BOP crane shift device through a control box can be completed:

a. lifting and lowering at the same time.

b. move forward and backward at the same time.

c. Separately lifting, lowering.

d. Separately forward, backward.

3.5 By full hydraulic control, it features higher performance on explosion-proof.

3.6 Easy operating valves on hydraulic control box make it easy to control the speed

of rising, lowering, moving forward and backward.

3.7 This BOP Handling System is easy to install and transport. All hydraulic hoses

used to connect or disconnect on installation or dismounting adopt snap joints as

connections. It not only makes it easy to install and dismount system but also keep

inner hoses clean.

4. Installation and Test

4.1 Respectively insert BOP Lifting & Moving Device located at two sides into front

end of left & right guide rail located under the drilling platform, Tie up hauling rope

before inserting in case of collision during lifting. Install stop pin at end of the rail in

case that the device slides out of the rail.

4.2 Weld bracket base plate for pipeline on the outer side surface of middle ventral

plate along the length of every guide rail under the drilling platform, install pipeline

bracket (Upper height limitation to be welded is 50mm under upper wing plate of the

rail.)

4.3 Connect hydraulic hose between ctrl box and lifting device according to the

matching code on the fast adapter of the hydraulic hose. Fix the hose from middle on

the left & right pipeline bracket.

4.4 Connect oil inlets and outlets on the hydraulic control box with oil inlets and outlets

on the hydraulic station of power tongs on the drilling floor.

4.5 Ensure all pipe connections in good condition, start hydraulic station to provide the

BOP Handling System with 18MPa hydraulic oil.

4.6 Operate handle of the reversing valve according to ctrl method and marking

direction indicated on panel of the ctrl box. Check whether every unloading motion is

right or not. Only every motion is checked properly can the device be put into use.

5. Operation, Maintenance and Safety

5.1 Watch the manometer on the hydraulic control box to check if oil-feeding pressure

meets the requirement 18MPa.

5.2 Operate lifting (up and down) and moving (toward and backward) of two lifting

devices according to ctrl method and marking direction indicated on panel of the ctrl

box.

5.2.1 Synchronously control valve No. 1 and 2 to make system move synchronously.

5.2.2 Asynchronously control valve No. 1 and 2 to make system move asynchronously

5.2.3 Synchronously control valve No. 3 and 4 to make system lift synchronously.

5.2.4 Asynchronously control valve No. 3 and 4 to make system lift asynchronously.

5.3 Carry out maintenance before every installation of the BOP handling system.

There are six (6) pulley lubricating points, four(4) driving gear lubricating points, four

(4) driven gear lubricating points, one (1) pipeline hanger bearing lubricating points

and two (2) driving-gear-hanger bearing lubricating points. Lithium base grease is

suitable for every point.

5.4 Before each lifting operation, operator should check if all cables are in good

conditions. All cables should be reliable connection before operation. On lifting

operation, workers should be far away from the goods to avoid accidents.

5.5 When lifting heavy weights, only the vertical takeoff and landing will not allow the

lifting (wire rope) to tilt the weight in any direction

6. Environmental protection

6.1.In case of oil leakage or oil seepage during the use of the equipment, the seal

should be replaced in time, and the fastener and joint or replacement pipeline should

be tightened.

6.2.For disposal of plastic packaging, should comply with the local environmental

protection requirements.

6.3.During the use of the equipment, the disposal of waste hydraulic oil and other oil

should meet the local environmental protection requirements.

6.4.When the equipment is scrapped, the disposal of oil such as paint and residual

hydraulic oil should meet the local environmental protection requirements.
